A theft? Property damage? We are listening.

Pickpocketing

Theft (simple theft, pickpocketing or theft by trick)

A bag left unattended for a moment, a wallet slipped from a pocket, or someone who distracted you with skilful words… However it happened, someone took your property without any right.

Without threat and without violence, these thefts often go unnoticed at the time. In a street in Delémont, in a shop in Porrentruy, on transport in Saignelégier, in the heart of the Franches-Montagnes or even at home, this type of offence leaves a sense of powerlessness. Reporting it is essential to move things forward.

Bicycle theft

Bicycle or scooter theft

Your bicycle has disappeared. Locked to a post, stored in a courtyard or left for a few minutes outside a shop, it did not withstand a thief’s visit.

City bike, mountain bike, e-bike or scooter: these have become essential means of transport, sometimes costly, often irreplaceable in daily life.

Vehicle theft

Motor vehicle theft

You were about to take your car or scooter… but it was no longer there. Vehicle theft is a shock. You lose far more than an object: a work tool, a means of transport, sometimes a symbol of stability.

This type of theft can happen anywhere: on a public road, in a car park, or even in a private garage.

Property damage

Property damage

A smashed window, a forced lock, a tagged wall, a destroyed letterbox… These acts of damage, small or large, have a direct impact on your sense of security.

Even without theft or a break-in, it is an attack on your personal or professional space, and it deserves to be reported.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take?
On average, completing the form takes between 5 and 10 minutes.
Do I need to create an account?
No, no account is required. Everything is done simply by form and e-mail.
Do I have to go to a police station?
No, not as part of this service. You print, sign and send the complaint directly from home.
Is my complaint actually taken into account?
Yes. Once sent, your complaint is processed like any complaint filed in person at a police station. You may, however, receive a telephone call from the police depending on the case.
Can I track the progress of my complaint?
Follow-up depends on the procedures of the canton or the authority to which you send your complaint. ma-plainte.ch does not follow cases personally, but you may be contacted by the police if necessary.
Can I send my complaint by e-mail, or only by post?
A handwritten signature is required, which means the document must be sent by post. The arrangements are set out on the form.
Are my data secure?
Yes, all data you enter are processed confidentially and securely, in accordance with Swiss data-protection law.
Can I file a complaint anonymously?
No, an official complaint requires your full identity. You can, however, report an incident without necessarily filing a complaint (in another setting, directly with the police).
Can I correct a mistake after completing the form?
If you have not yet sent the complaint, you can start again and submit a new form. Only the signed and posted form is taken into account.
How much does it cost?
The service costs 29 CHF, payable once. This amount covers the preparation of your complaint and access to our support if you have questions.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
No, payment is final once the form has been generated. Because processing starts immediately after validation, a refund is not possible.
